Scope: This program is designed to provide PTECH students with immersive training in the Health Information Technology industry. Students will have the chance to acquire practical skills through a variety of hands-on experiences including office visits, mentorship opportunities, and senior internships offered by the Spine and Joint group.

Resolution:
|
WHEREAS the Board of Education wishes to enter into a contract with Spine and Joint Group to purchase consulting services to support PTECH students with immersive training in the Health Information Technology industry. Students will have the chance to acquire practical skills through a variety of hands-on experiences including office visits, mentorship opportunities, and senior internships offered by the Spine and Joint group, for the 2024 – 2025 school year,
WHEREAS the district administration has designed in conjunction with Spine and Joint Group a program which meets the objectives set forth by the Board and the New York State Education Department, and,
WHEREAS the Board of Education authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to enter into an agreement with Spine and Joint Group to provide these services, and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Board of Education hereby authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to enter into an agreement with Spine and Joint Group at a cost not to exceed $45,000.00.
