Rationale:
|
This is to award “Installation of Safety Surfacing at Family School 13” to Kompan Inc. in the amount of $15,348.20 for a term of 180 calendar days.
The scope of work is to furnish and install new safety surfacing on the play area outside of Room 112, which is being used this year for the autistic programs.
Procurement is through a piggyback onto the Omnia Partners Purchasing contract #2017-001135. Kompan Inc. continues to build playgrounds for the BOE and the City of Yonkers Parks and Recreation Department.

Ladies and Gentlemen:
WHEREAS: Rooms 112, 112a, 113 and 114 in School 13 have been refurbished to provide for the Special Education Autistic programs, and
WHEREAS: is has been determined that the play area outside of Room 112 would benefit from the installation of play area safety surfacing, and
WHEREAS: in accordance with General Municipal Law, the administration recommends a new purchase order with U.S. Communities Government Purchasing Alliance Contract Vendor, Kompan, Inc for installation of the safety surfacing, and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: that the Superintendent of Schools is authorized to award a contract for CIP10837 “Installation of New Safety Surfacing at School 13” to Kompan, Inc., 605 W Howard Lane Ste 101, Austin, TX 78753 in the amount of $15,348.20 for a term of 180 days.
