Rationale:
|
The COVID19 require the provision of hot water for hand washing and kitchen cleaning. NY Replacement parts offered the best turn-around time and delivery for a Bradford White 100 gallon gas water heater at a price consistent with other suppliers. The best course of action is to procure the heater under the current Emergency Declaration for “Procurement of Goods & Services for COVID19 Response” issued by the Superintendent on July 27, 2020 and amended on August 26, October 7 and October 23, 2020.
This is to furnish a 100 gallon gas fired domestic water heater to Lincoln High School water at a cost of $11,461.00 from NY Replacement Parts in Yonkers.

Ladies and Gentlemen:
WHEREAS: an Emergency Declaration was issued on July 27, 2020 for “Procurement of Goods & Services for COVID19 Response” in an the estimated amount of $1,000,000, and
WHEREAS: this Emergency Declaration was amended on August 26, 2020 bringing the total estimated amount to $2,000,000, and
WHEREAS: this Emergency Declaration was amended on October 7, 2020, bringing the total estimated amount to $3,000,000, and
WHEREAS: this Emergency Declaration was amended again on October 23, 2020 bringing the total estimated amount to $5,000,000, and
WHEREAS: it is required that school provide hot water for hand washing and kitchen use, and
WHEREAS: the water heater at Lincoln stopped functioning and was found to beyond repair, and
WHEREAS; normal means of procurement were not timely enough and NY Replacement Parts had a three day delivery at an acceptable price of $11,461.00
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: that the Purchase Order 2021-00002601 for the procurement of Bradford White 100 Gallon Gas Fired water heater be issued to NY Replacement Parts, Inc, 19 School Street, Yonkers NY 10701 for an amount not to exceed $11,462.00 a term of 90 days.
