Rationale: To approve a Stipulation of Settlement in Lieu of the submission of a Notice of Charges to be brought under Education Law § 3020a against a tenured teacher, employee I.D. No. 344417
Funding:
Resolution: WHEREAS a disciplinary proceeding was contemplated against Employee #344417. In lieu of the submission of charges pursuant to Education Law 3020a, a stipulation of settlement was reached and is preferred by Anibal Soler, Jr., Superintendent of Schools; and, WHEREAS, Employee #344417, was represented by counsel, and in lieu of charges being submitted has agreed to this alternate resolution; and, WHEREAS, a Stipulation of Settlement has been negotiated between the Superintendent of Schools and Employee #344417, subject to approval by the Board of Education, which Stipulation of Settlement sets forth the terms of settlement of the contemplated Notice of Charges; and, WHEREAS, the Board of Education has had an opportunity to review the terms of the Stipulation of Settlement, and finds that the terms are fair, reasonable, and appropriate under the circumstances; and, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Education hereby approves the Stipulation of Settlement, as negotiated, and made between the Superintendent of Schools and Employee #344417; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Superintendent of Schools and those under his direction take all steps necessary to effectuate and implement the Stipulation of Settlement, made between the Superintendent of Schools and Employee #344417.
