New Readers Press, ProLiteracy
Term: 2024-2025 school year
Amount: $10,377.96
Scope: New Readers Press, ProLiteracy's publishing is the sole source of the products. The Yonkers Public Schools Pathways to Success (PTS) Adult Education program is requisitioning the purchase of GED study materials for the TABE 13/14. Pathways to Success must purchase the new materials to stay in compliance with NYSED guidelines. These educational materials are important resources to support placement testing for the day and evening ABE/GED students which PTS serves.

Resolution:

WHEREAS the Board of Education wishes to enter into a contract with New Readers Press, ProLiteracy to purchase materials to support Pathways to Success Adult Education Program for the 2024-2025 school year,
WHEREAS the district administration has designed in conjunction with New Readers Press, ProLiteracy a program which meets the objectives set forth by the Board and the New York State Education Department, and,
WHEREAS the Board of Education authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to enter into an agreement with New Readers Press, ProLiteracy to purchase these materials, and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Board of Education hereby authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to enter into an agreement with New Readers Press, ProLiteracy at a cost not to $10,377.96.
