Scope: Tobii Dynavox is a manufacturer and distributor of speech generating devices. They are the leading provider of speech communication devices and symbol-adapted special education software. The TobiiDynavox 1-13 is a gaze interaction device. This system simulates speech production which is an important therapeutic goal. The device also will lessen the gap between receptive and expressive language skills. This device will support one of our District Special Education students.

WHEREAS the Board of Education wishes to purchase a speech generating devise for a District Student
WHEREAS the Board of Education has selected TobiiDynavox to provide this device
NOW HTEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Board of Education hereby authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to enter into an agreement with the above provider in an amount no to exceed $11,695.
