Rationale: Computer Adventures, LLC
Term: December 2020-June 2021
Amount: $50,000
Scope: The agreement with Computer Adventures, LLC is to provide engineering enrichment classes using fully remote programs to 4 district schools (School 22, Family School 32, MLK Jr. Academy, and Eugenio Maria de Hostos) during the 2020-2021 school year. This is the third year of the NYSED Learning Technology Grant 2018-2021.
Funding: $50,000 LTG
Funding is pending NYSED approval.
Resolution: WHEREAS the Board of Education wishes to enter into a contract with Computer Adventures LLC to provide robotics engineering enrichment classes to 9 schools through remote instruction during the 2020-2021 school year (School 22, Family School 32, MLK Jr. Academy, Eugenio Maria de Hostos MicroSociety School, St. Peter's, St. Anthony's, Stein Yeshiva of Lincoln Park, Andrus Orchard School, and Andalusia School),
WHEREAS the district administration has designed in conjunction with Computer Adventures LLC a program which meets the objectives set forth by the Board and the New York State Education Department, and,
WHEREAS the Board of Education authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to enter into an agreement with Computer Adventures LLC to provide these services, and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Board of Education hereby authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to enter into an agreement with Computer Adventures LLC at a cost not to exceed $50,000.
It is acknowledged and agreed that pursuant to the terms of that certain intermunicipal agreement by and between the City of Yonkers Board of Education ("BOE") and the City of Yonkers (the "City") as filed in the Office of the City Clerk on June 16, 2014, the terms of this agreement are subject to review and revision by the Corporation Counsel, as well as approval by the City's Board of Contract and Supply. Furthermore, this Agreement shall not be enforceable until signed by both parties and approved by the Corporation Counsel's Office.
