Accredited Lock and Door Hardware Company
Term: 365 calendar days
Amount: $296,478.83
Scope: Purchase of various hardware, locksets, closers and panic devices. It will allow School Facilities Management to make an initial purchase as well as provide unit prices for the purchase of additional materials if needed over the duration of the contract.
In compliance with General Municipal Law 103, bids were let and opened in public on December 8, 2023. Two (2) bids were received, examined and all due diligence observed in determining that Accredited Lock and Door Hardware Company is the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. The work was designed by School Facilities Management who estimated the value of the purchase at $300,000. The highest bid was $353,105.

Resolution:

WHEREAS Bids were issued for public advertisement and opened on December 8, 2023 in compliance with General Municipal Law 103 for RFB-6949A “District Wide Capital Hardware Purchase”, and
WHEREAS Two (2) such bids were received and duly examined and as a result the administration has determined that Accredited Lock and Door Hardware Company is the lowest responsive and responsible bidder with a bid of $296,478.83.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Board of Education hereby authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to award a contract for RFB-6949A, “District Wide Capital Hardware Purchase” to Accredited Lock and Door Hardware Company in amount not to exceed $296,478.83 for a term of 365 calendar days.
