Scope: To provide an engaging and age-appropriate presentation for middle and high school students at Barack Obama School for Social Justice for one day, focusing on emotional awareness, social responsibility, character development, and health. Keynotes and workshops are designed for young adults and incorporate music, movement, humor, popular culture references, and active audience participation, transforming our lectures into captivating live shows.

Resolution:

WHEREAS the Board of Education wishes to enter into a contract with Saying Something Inc. to purchase consulting services to support and to provide engaging presentations for middle and high school students at Barack Obama School for Social Justice for one day, focused on emotional awareness, social responsibility, character growth, and health. Our keynotes and workshops feature music, movement, humor, and pop culture, creating an interactive experience that inspires young minds for the 2024 – 2025 school year,
WHEREAS the district administration has designed in conjunction with Saying Something Inc. a program which meets the objectives set forth by the Board and the New York State Education Department, and,
WHEREAS the Board of Education authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to enter into an agreement with Saying Something Inc. to provide these services, and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Board of Education hereby authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to enter into an agreement with Saying Something Inc. at a cost not to exceed $3.750.00.
