|
The subject quote was issued to select five select vendors all of whom replied. The average response was at $13,749.83 and the highest was at $15,524.98.
This is to supply a light weight 6 inch gas powered wood chipper. The need for this service is constant and has till now been done by outside vendors. This unit will give the Maintenance Department greater flexibility and a much more cost effective means of clearing unwanted trees and/or branches.

Ladies and Gentlemen:
WHEREAS: in compliance with NYS General Municipal Law 104b a request for quotes 2018-2345 for the procurement of a Wallenstein 6-Inch Wood Chipper was issued on January 20, 2021 and received on January 22, 2021, and
WHEREAS: five proposals were received with Westchester Tractor having the lowest responsive and responsible bid in the amount of $11, 725.00 and a term of 180 calendar days.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: that the Superintendent of Schools is authorized to issue a purchase order for RFQ2021-4048 “Wallenstein 6-Inch Wood Chipper” to Westchester Tractor 60 International Blvd, Brewster NY 10509 in the amount of $11, 725.00 and a term of 180 calendar days.
