Rationale
:
As required by the State Education Department, the Board of Education acting as a lead agency must satisfy the requirements of State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQRA).
For the listed project(s), the School Facilities Management Department has determined that the project(s) listed is “TYPE II” action and require no further environmental review under SEQRA:

WHEREAS based upon the review by the Yonkers Board of Education of the proposed capital project(s) set forth herein, the Yonkers Board of Education hereby finds that the proposed action constitutes a “Type II Action” as such term is defined in the State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQRA) and the Regulations of the Department of Environmental Conservation of the State of New York (NYCRR Part 617), and
WHEREAS the following Capital Improvement Project(s) can be properly classified as TYPE II action:
CIP 10936 - Window Replacement & Athletic Field Improvements – Saunders Trades and Technical High School
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Yonkers Board of Education shall be Lead Agent for the above SEQRA project(s) and the above project(s) be listed as TYPE II action under New York State SEQRA Law.
