Resolution:

WHEREAS the Board of Education wishes to enter into a contract with Klearview Appliance to purchase one hundred (100) Frigidaire window/portable air conditioners, and
WHEREAS Yonkers Public Schools desires to create air-conditioned instructional space throughout the District, on an as-needed basis, in the most cost-effective manner, and
WHEREAS the purchase and future installation of 100 window/portable air conditioning units throughout the District, on an as-needed basis, is a significant part of this effectiveness, and
WHEREAS these units are available for purchase from Klearview Appliance in accordance with General Municipal Law, through a public bid RFB-7218 of which Klearview Appliance was the lowest responsible bidder, with a bid of $39,500.00.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Board of Education hereby authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to enter into an agreement with Klearview Appliance to purchase one hundred (100) Frigidaire window/portable air conditioners at a cost not to exceed $39,500.00.
