Amount: $37,020
Scope: Original Resolution 25.6 Project Aurora (BOE Approved 4-21-21 BOCS Approval pending) to provide Arts and Literacy based, socio-emotional skill-building 5-session residency services to be offered for S.I.F.E. Saturday program students. Amendment #1 represents an increase of $37,020 to provide Arts and Literacy based, socio-emotional skill-building residency services to be offered for S.I.F.E. Saturday program students AND MLL students districtwide and to provide professional development to enrichment teachers on engaging students in project based learning. Project Aurora will also engage school-based administrators in social emotional and culturally responsive learning. The total contract will be $39,320.

Resolution: WHEREAS the Board of Education wishes to enter into a contract with Project Aurora to provide Arts and Literacy based, socio-emotional skill-building residency services to be offered for S.I.F.E. Saturday program students AND MLL students districtwide and to provide professional development to enrichment teachers on engaging students in project based learning. Project Aurora will also engage school-based administrators in social emotional and culturally responsive learning for the 2020-2021 school year,

WHEREAS the district administration has designed in conjunction with Project Aurora a program which meets the objectives set forth by the Board and the New York State Education Department, and,

WHEREAS the Board of Education authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to enter into an agreement with Project Aurora to provide these services, and

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Board of Education hereby authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to enter into an agreement with Project Aurora, at a cost not to exceed $39,320

It is acknowledged and agreed that pursuant to the terms of that certain intermunicipal agreement by and between the City of Yonkers Board of Education (“BOE”) and the City of Yonkers (the “City”) as filed in the Office of the City Clerk on June 16, 2014, the terms of this agreement are subject to review and revision by the Corporation Counsel, as well as approval by the City’s Board of Contract and Supply. Furthermore, this Agreement shall not be enforceable until signed by both parties and approved by the Corporation
