Rationale:
|
This is to authorize the first change order to annual service Contract 2022-0466 “Repair Clocks, Intercoms, and PA Systems” with Symbrant Technologies Inc., increasing the contract by $20,997.99 to $144,722.99 and no change to the term.
This resolution is to authorize the replacement of the head-end of the PA system at School 30 which has failed and is beyond repair. The proposed price is a good faith estimate. Actual cost to be determined by time and materials cost per the contract.

Ladies and Gentlemen:
WHEREAS: Resolution 16.19 dated December 15, 2021 the Board authorized the award of Contract 2022-0466 “Repair Clocks, Intercoms, and PA systems” to Symbrant Technologies Inc. in the amount of $123,725.00 for a term of 365 days, and
WHEREAS: The head-end of the PA system at School 30 has failed and needs to be replaced, and
WHEREAS: Funds for such work need to be added to the contract to cover the cost of $20,997.99.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: that the Superintendent of Schools is hereby authorized to issue Change Order 1 for Contract 2022-0466 “Repair Clocks, Intercoms, and PA Systems” with Symbrant Technologies Inc., 16 Commerce Drive, Farmingdale, NY 11735 in the amount of $20,997.99 to $144,722.99 and no change to the term.
