Rationale:
|
This contract provides a means to extend by mutual consent of the parties an additional year under the same terms and conditions as bid.
Original award was by Res 15.7 at the December 19, 2018 meeting. The first amendment extended the contract for the first time (Res. 16.9 Nov.20, 2109). The second amendment was a change order for $50,000 added to the amended contract (Res 14.13 Sept. 16, 2020). This resolution is to authorize the third amendment to extend the subject contract for the second and final time.
As of this date roughly $65,000 has been expensed with 2 (winter) months left in this contract. It is anticipated to be fully spent.

Ladies and Gentlemen:
WHEREAS: bids were publicly solicited and opened November 9, 2018, in compliance with General Municipal Law for bid no 5956 Truck Repairs in Yonkers Public Schools,
WHEREAS: Board Item 15.7, dated December 19, 2018 was approved awarding a contract to Argyle Motor Works d/b/a H&C truck Repair in the amount of $80,030.00
WHEREAS: bid specifications provide for annual extensions by the mutual consent of both parties under the same terms and conditions of the original contract for up to two years, and
WHEREAS: such provisions were invoked to extend the contract for one year under the first amendment via Res 16.9 on November 20, 2019 revising the contract amount to 160,060.00 and extending the term to 730 calendar days, and
WHEREAS: funding for additional work in the amount of $50,000 was provided under the second amendment via Res 14.13 on Sept. 16, 2020 revising the contract amount to $210,060.00, and
WHEREAS: the administration recommends the extension by one year of this contract under the third amendment increasing the contract amount to $290,090.00 increasing the term to 1,095 calendar days.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Superintendent of Schools is hereby authorized to extend this annual contract 2019-‘0541 for Truck Repair with Argyle Motor Works d/b/a H&C, at the same terms & conditions in the amount of $80,030.00 increasing the overall contract amount to $290,090.00 and the term to 1,095 calendar days.
