Rationale:
|
This change order is to add $100,000.00 to Contract 2022-0795 Playground Medic, for “Playground Service & Repair” increasing the contract amount from $78,125.00 to $178,125.00 with no change in term.
These added funds are required for specific updates to the playgrounds at School 5, School 9 and School 15. Total cost for these improvements will be $124,152.50 and include but are not limited to miscellaneous hardware & playground feature installation as well as the replacement of the safety surfacing at School 15.
This will leave a balance of $53,972.50 to provide for continued service for other schools as needs arise over the next 11 months.

Ladies and Gentlemen:
WHEREAS: via Resolution 16.8 dated April 20, 2022 the Board of Trustees approved awarding contract 2022-00000795 for “Playground Service & Repair” to Playground Medic, for $78,125.00 and a term of 365 calendar days, and
WHEREAS: as per the latest inspection report extensive repairs are needed to maintain and keep the playgrounds safe for children at various locations including School 5 and Paideia School 15.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: that the Superintendent of Schools is authorized to increase Contract 2022-00000795 for “Playground Service and Repairs” to Playground Medic, 146 Broadway, Hawthorne, NY, 10532, from $78,125.00 to 178,125.00 with no change in term.
