Rationale
:
Discovery Education will provide 24/7 access to all teachers and students across the district to their Streaming Plus Service for all content areas for the 2021-2022 school year (July 1, 2021-June 30, 2022). This is a comprehensive K-12 digital service that contains thousands of standards-aligned resources, content and digital videos. The cost of this service is supported through CAI Software Capital Funds, which is eligible for 100% State Aid reimbursement.

Resolution
:
WHEREAS the Board of Education wishes to enter into a contract with Discovery Education to purchase the Streaming Plus service for the Yonkers Public School District for the 2021-2022 school year.
WHEREAS the district administration has designed in conjunction with Discovery Education a program which meets the objectives set forth by the Board and the New York State Education Department, and
WHEREAS the Board of Education authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to enter into an agreement with Discovery Education to provide these services, and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Board of Education hereby authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to enter into an agreement with Discovery Education at a cost not to exceed $113,860 for the 2021-2022 school year.
It is hereby acknowledged and agreed that pursuant to the terms of that certain intermunicipal agreement by and between the City of Yonkers Board of Education ("BOE") and the City of Yonkers (the "City") as filed in the Office of the City Clerk on June 16, 2014, the terms of this agreement are subject to review and revision by the Corporation Counsel, as well as approval by the City's Board of Contract and Supply. Furthermore, this agreement shall not be enforceable until signed by both parties and approved by the Corporation Counsel's Office.
