Rationale:
|
In accordance with the spirit of a professional service contract, an extension of time is required from time-to-time in order to complete long term, on-going capital projects in the various states of closeout, construction and design, the interruption of which would be a hardship on the District.
This resolution is to extend time on four (4) capital contracts for “On-Call Professional Architectural and Engineering Services” through March 17, 2024, while we engage in the new RFP (483) process.

Ladies and Gentlemen:
WHEREAS: By Resolution 15.15 dated February 26, 2020 the Board of Trustees awarded contracts to the above mentioned Architectural/Engineering firms in response to RFP404 “On-Call Architectural Services” for the School Facilities Department for $1 million each and a term of two years, renewable by mutual consent for one additional year, and
WHEREAS: In accordance with the spirit of a professional service contract, an extension of time is required from time-to-time in order to complete long term, on-going capital projects in the various states of closeout, construction and design, the interruption of which would be a hardship on the District, and
WHEREAS: This resolution is to extend time on four (4) capital contracts for “On-Call Professional Architectural and Engineering Services” through March 17, 2024, while we engage in the new RFP (483) process, and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Superintendent of Schools is hereby authorized to extend the contracts for Eisenbach & Ruhnke Engineering, PC - Contract 2020-0594, Kaeyer, Garment + Davidson Architects, PC - Contract 2020-0630, MEMASI Architects + Engineering - Contract 2020-0631 and CPL Architecture, Engineering, Planning - Contract 2020-0632 until March 17, 2024, with no increase in funding to the listed contracts for “On-Call Architectural and Engineering Services” for the School Facilities Department.
