WHEREAS, The New York State Education Department (NYSED) has awarded Yonkers City School District a grant for the RECOVS: Recover from COVID School Program Mental Health in the total of $2,000,000.
WHEREAS, The RECOVS grant supports the District by addressing the impact of COVID-19 on the mental health and well-being of our student population. Resources will be used to address the adverse social-emotional challenges experienced by students. The impact of the pandemic, and the connections to extended mental health needs will be targeted, and,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: that the Board of Education hereby accepts the award of $2,000,000 to Yonkers Public Schools.
