Amount: $43,100.00
Scope: Agreement with Gregory Joyner to amend existing contract #2022-00000474($36,900 BOE approved 11/17/21 #16.2, BOCS approved 11/23/21). This amendment will extend the contract until August 2022. This amendment will represent an increase of $43,100 to provide additional services during the summer. The total contract will be $80,000. Gregory Joyner will implement and evaluate the “My Brother’s Keeper” Community Initiative and function as the Yonkers Public Schools MBK Liaison with the City of Yonkers Mayor’s Office, and Nepperhan Community Center. He will also oversee the districtwide mentoring program, facilitate parent and staff meetings.

Resolution:

WHEREAS the Board of Education wishes to amend contract # 2022-00000474 with Gregory Joyner in the amount of $43,100 to continue consulting services to implement and evaluate the “My Brother’s Keeper” Community Initiative and function as the Yonkers Public Schools MBK Liaison with the City of Yonkers Mayor’s Office, and Nepperhan Community Center. He will also oversee the districtwide mentoring program, facilitate parent and staff meetings for the 2021-2022 school year,
WHEREAS the district administration has designed in conjunction with Gregory Joyner a program which meets the objectives set forth by the Board and the New York State Education Department, and,
WHEREAS the Board of Education authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to amend contract #2022-00000474 with Gregory Joyner to provide these services, and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Board of Education hereby authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to amend contract #2022-00000474 with Gregory Joyner at a cost not to exceed $80,000.
It is acknowledged and agreed that pursuant to the terms of that certain intermunicipal agreement by and between the City of Yonkers Board of Education (“BOE”) and the City of Yonkers (the “City”) as filed in the Office of the City Clerk on June 16, 2014, the terms of this agreement are subject to review and revision by the Corporation Counsel, as well as approval by the City’s Board of Contract and Supply. Furthermore, this Agreement shall not be enforceable until signed by both parties and approved by the Corporation Counsel’s Office.
