Resolution:
|
WHEREAS, the Yonkers Public Schools Board of Education wishes to add an additional AWARDEE to RFB-6514 Category #1- General Education Regular Big Bus and to amend VP BUSES LLC's contract in reference to RFB#6514- General Education -Regular Big Bus services for the 2020-21 school year with the option to extend; WHEREAS, the following is contingent upon the Yonkers Public Schools' actual utilization of the aforementioned transportation services; and WHEREAS the district administration has designed in conjunction with VP Bus as mentioned above on resolution, a service which meets the objectives set forth by the Board; Now therefore be it resolved: the Board of Education hereby authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to enter into an amended agreement with VP Buses LLC in a total amount not to exceed $1,532,636.20 depending on actual utilization General Education big buses be awarded from October 5,2020 through June 30, 2021 with an option to extend. And, be it further resolved that in accordance with the terms and conditions of the contracts awarded and amended, routes may be added, routes may be deleted, routes may otherwise modified, or routes may be extended ,if required and such modifications are hereby approved on condition that no such modification mat exceed ten percent (10%) of the contract price set forth without prior approval of the Board of Education. And be it further resolved that the Yonkers Board of Education authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to enter into transportation contract negotiations and agreements for the 2020-21 school year, including for both public and private/parochial school students. It is acknowledged and agree that pursuant to the terms of that certain inter municipal agreement by and between the City of Yonkers Board of Education ("BOE") and the City of Yonkers (the "City") as filed in the Office of the City Clerk on June 16, 2014 the terms of this agreement are subject to review and revision by the Corporation Counsel, as well as approval by the City's Board of Contracts and Supply.
