Amount: $48,000
Scope: Youth Studies, Inc. (“YSI”) will conduct a formal evaluation of two 21st Century Community Learning Center initiatives to be implemented by Yonkers Public School (“YPS”). Aligned with the NYS 21st CCLC Evaluation Manual, the evaluation will achieve the following objectives: (1) close monitoring of implementation, including tracking the initiative’s progress toward meeting key program objectives and quality standards outlined in the Program QSA Tool, and (2) assessment of how and to what extent participation leads to improvements in desired participant outcomes, including: a) increased proficiency in core academic subjects, b) improved engagement in learning, c) improved attendance and classroom behaviors, and d) improved SEL skills, such as self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, interpersonal skills, ethical decision-making, and responsible behaviors.

Resolution: WHEREAS the Board of Education wishes to enter into a contract with Youth Studies, Inc to purchase consulting services to support formal evaluations of two 21st Century Community Learning Center initiatives to be implemented by Yonkers Public Schools (“YPS”) for the 2022-2023 school year,

WHEREAS the district administration has designed in conjunction with Youth Studies, Inc a program which meets the objectives set forth by the Board and the New York State Education Department, and,

WHEREAS the Board of Education authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to enter into an agreement with Youth Studies, Inc to provide these services, and

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Board of Education hereby authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to enter into an agreement with Youth Studies, Inc at a cost not to exceed $48,000.00.

It is acknowledged and agreed that pursuant to the terms of that certain intermunicipal agreement by and between the City of Yonkers Board of Education (“BOE”) and the City of Yonkers (the “City”) as filed in the Office of the City Clerk on June 16, 2014, the terms of this agreement are subject to review and revision by the Corporation Counsel, as well as approval by the City’s Board of Contract and Supply. Furthermore, this Agreement shall not be enforceable until signed by both parties and approved by the Corporation Counsel’s Office.
