Resolution:
|
WHEREAS the Board of Education wishes to enter into a contract with Indoff LLC (DBA: Allied Appliance) to purchase fifty (50) Frigidaire window/portable air conditioners, and
WHEREAS the Yonkers Public Schools desires to create air-conditioned instructional space throughout the District, on an as needed basis, in the most cost-effective manner, and
WHEREAS the purchase and future installation of 50 window/portable air conditioning units throughout the District, on an as needed basis, is a significant part of this effectiveness, and
WHEREAS these units are available for purchase from Indoff LLC (DBA: Allied Appliance) in accordance with General Municipal Law, through a public bid RFB-7051, of which Indoff LLC (DBA: Allied Appliance) was the lowest responsible bidder, with a bid of $17,900.00.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Board of Education hereby authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to enter into an agreement with Indoff LLC (DBA: Allied Appliance) to purchase fifty (50) Frigidaire window/portable air conditioners at a cost not to exceed $17,900.00.
