WHEREAS the Board of Education finds it necessary to appropriate a portion of the FY 2022-2023 unassigned General Fund balance for the purpose of balancing the 2024-2025 budget,
WHEREAS the Yonkers City School District Financial Statements at year ended, June 30, 2023, show an unassigned general fund balance of $50,895,290,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the Board of Education authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to appropriate a portion of the FY 2022-2023 unassigned General Fund balance in an amount not to exceed $40,000,000 to address the budget shortfall.
