Rationale:
|
Bids were first advertised on June 10, 2022 and opened on July 20, 2022 with no responses. The re-bid was advertised on August 18, 2022 and opened and read aloud on September 16, 2022. There was only one bidder.
This is the annual service contract, with the provision for renewal up to three years by mutual consent and under the same terms and conditions as described for the preventive maintenance and repairs of the bleacher systems, movable partitions, backboard systems, safety checks and repair of damaged and unusable movable and fixed backboards throughout the District.

WHEREAS: one bid was received with Nickerson NY, LLC. in the amount of $198,440.00, and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Superintendent of Schools is authorized to enter into a contract for BID 6823A “Gym Equipment Maintenance” to Nickerson NY, LLC., 11 Moffitt Boulevard, Bay Shore, NY 11706 in the amount of $198,440.00 for a term of 365 days.
