Rationale:
|
Extension 1 of General Fund Service Contract 2022-00000466 “Repair of Clocks, Intercoms, and PA Systems” with Symbrant Technologies for the amount $123,725.00 and an additional 365 calendar days.
This contract provides for the on-call repair of the intercoms and public address systems throughout the District and has provisions for annual extensions under the same terms and conditions as that originally awarded for up to four additional years. The first year was fully expensed.
It was awarded via Board Resolution Item 16.19 on December 15, 2021 and was amended by Resolution 15.15 dated November 16, 2022 increasing the contract by $20,997.99 to $144,722.99 with no change in term.

Ladies and Gentlemen:
WHEREAS: By Resolution 16.19 dated December 15, 2021 Contract 2022-0466 “Repair of Clocks, Intercoms, and PA Systems” was awarded to Symbrant Technologies for $123,725.00 and a term of 365 calendar days, and
WHEREAS: By Resolution 15.15 dated November 16, 2022 said contract was amended increasing the contract by $20,997.99 to $144,722.99 with no change in term, and
WHEREAS: Said contract has provisions for four (4) annual extensions under the same terms and conditions as that originally awarded, and
WHEREAS: Both parties have agreed to invoke this clause and extend this contract as described for one year.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Superintendent of Schools is hereby authorized to extend Contract 2022-0466 “Repair of Clocks, Intercoms, and PA Systems” with Symbrant Technologies, 16 Commerce Drive, Farmingdale, NY 11735, increasing the contract amount from $144,722.99 to $268,447.99 and the term to 730 calendar days.
