Via Resolution 15.23 at the stated meeting on March 16, 2022 the Board of Trustees awarded an “On-Call Professional Construction Management Services” contract to Triton Construction Company, LLC (Triton) for an amount not to exceed $1.0 million. This contract is being amended to increase its funding potential to $2 million under a separate resolution at the December 2022 Board meeting. This resolution is to authorize the assignment of Construction Management Services for CIP 10878 “Exterior Doors, Windows, Heat Plant, Site and Interiors Improvements” Part 2 of 3 at Westchester Hills School 29 to Triton Construction Company, LLC under Contract No. 2022-0602 in an amount not to exceed $210,045.00. Triton’s base fee is $184,945.00. Additional costs are $12,6000.00 for web-based construction management software (for multiple projects) and $12,500.00 made available for owner directed reimbursable expenses. CIP 10878 includes parking expansion; new exterior doors, exterior lighting, heat plant & controls, windows, signage, flooring, ceilings & lights; ADA toilet room upgrades, high-tech security and emergency generator. Project cost is estimated at $11.9 million. Due to the size and complexity the project was broken down into 3 parts via three separate bids over multiple years: Part 1 is under construction, includes new exterior doors, hi-tech security, parking lots, toilet room upgrades, PA upgrades, emergency power and requisite asbestos work at a cost of $4.7 million. Part 2 has been let for bid and includes heating plant replacement, HVAC and classroom upgrades. Estimated cost of $3.8 million. Construction summer 2023. Part 3 will include new windows, emergency generator and select ceilings and lights. Estimated cost of $3.5 million. Targeted for summer 2024 construction.
