Rationale: The Urban Assembly
Term: 3/21/2024-10/31/2024
Amount: $75,000.00
Scope: Consulting services for leaders and teachers to identify and catalog their Tier 1, Tier 2 and Tier 3 interventions for both math and ELA (Grades K-8) in their school-based MTSS plans. The Resilient Scholars Portal from Urban Assembly will house the school-based interventions that feed into our district-wide MTSS plan.
Funding: RECOVS: Learning Loss Grant (Pending NYSED Approval)
Resolution: WHEREAS the Board of Education wishes to enter into a contract with The Urban Assembly, Inc. to purchase consulting services to support MTSS structures and tiered academic interventions in 5 targeted schools for the 2023-2024 school year,



WHEREAS the district administration has designed in conjunction with The Urban Assembly, Inc. a program which meets the objectives set forth by the Board and the New York State Education Department, and,



WHEREAS the Board of Education authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to enter into an agreement with The Urban Assembly, Inc. to provide these services, and



NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Board of Education hereby authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to enter into an agreement with The Urban Assembly, Inc. at a cost not to exceed 75,000.00.



It is acknowledged and agreed that pursuant to the terms of that certain intermunicipal agreement by and between the City of Yonkers Board of Education (“BOE”) and the City of Yonkers (the “City”) as filed in the Office of the City Clerk on June 16, 2014, the terms of this agreement are subject to review and revision by the Corporation Counsel, as well as approval by the City’s Board of Contract and Supply. Furthermore, this Agreement shall not be enforceable until signed by both parties and approved by the Corporation Counsel’s Office.
