Agreement with Rethink Autism, Inc. for the 2022 - 2023 School Year Term: September 1, 2022 - June 30, 2023 Amount: $58,000.00 Account: 490-5271-23G114-2250-B2300 490-5271-23G115-2250-B2300 Scope: Rethink Autism, Inc. is a web-based curriculum platform that puts effective treatment tools for children with autism into the hands of professionals. Rethink offers over 1,500 video-based exercises that are consistent with the applied behavior analysis (ABA) method, the education intervention that continued research has proven most effective in the treatment of autism. It is a student-centered curriculum that serves the individual student’s needs and tracks individual student progress. Met with vender in Mid-September regarding programs and rates. The quote from vendor was received after the September Stated Meeting. BOE Recommendation: Stated Meeting 10/19/22

WHEREAS the Yonkers Board of Education wishes to enter into a contract with Rethink Autism, Inc. through their web-based treatment platform. 1. Create individualized ABA-based curricula 2. Manage data online and get automated reports, train staff and parent in research-based intervention. WHEREAS the District has determined that the services can best be provided by Rethink Autism, Inc., and NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: that the Board of Education hereby authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to enter into an agreement with Rethink Autism, Inc. for a total cost not to exceed $58,000.00. It is acknowledged and agreed that pursuant to the terms of that certain intermunicipal agreement by and between the City of Yonkers Board of Education (“BOE”) and the City of Yonkers (the “City”) as filed in the Office of the City Clerk on June 16, 2014, the terms of this agreement are subject to review and revision by the Corporation Counsel, as well as approval by the City’s Board of Contract and Supply. Furthermore, this Agreement shall not be enforceable until signed by both parties and approved by the Corporation Counsel’s Office.
