Rationale:
|
A&C Furia has changed their name and Tax ID Number. The vendor is now known as A&C/Furia Electric Motors LLC. A&C Furia Electric Motors Inc. has requested permission from the Yonkers Board of Education to approve the assignment of contract and transfer of the A&C Furia Electric Motors Inc. accounts and agreements to A&C/Furia Electric Motors LLC. As part of the acquisition, A&C Furia Electric Motors Inc. assigned all customer accounts and agreements to A&C/Furia Electric Motors LLC; accordingly, all A&C Furia Electric Motors Inc. accounts and agreements are now solely owned and will be honored and serviced by A&C/Furia Electric Motors LLC.

WHEREAS the District entered into a contract with A&C Furia Electric Motors Inc. per resolution 15.13 dated January 19, 2022, and
WHEREAS A&C/Furia Electric Motors LLC (“Assignor”) has acquired A&C Furia Electric Motors Inc. and,
WHEREAS the Department is requesting that the Board of Education approve the assignment and approve all rights, interest, obligations, and duty of performance of A&C Furia Electric Motors Inc. Contract No. 2022-0796 “Service and Repair of Electric Motors and Pumps” be assigned to A&C/Furia Electric Motors LLC.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Yonkers Board of Education hereby authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to approve the assignment of Contract No. 2022-0796 from A&C Furia Electric Motors Inc. to A&C/Furia Electric Motors LLC, and continue the agreement with A&C/Furia Electric Motors LLC, to maintain and repair the various electric motors and pumps in the Yonkers Public Schools District.
