Rationale:
|
This change order is a written agreement between the District and the contractor to increase the capital contract amount by $1,509,576.20 via three change orders:
1. CO1 $300,000.00
2. CO2 $809,576.20
3. CO3 $400,00.00
To fund required HVAC work under the attached emergency declaration for “Procurement of Goods & Services for COVID19 Response” issued by the Superintendent on July 27, 2020 and last amended on December 10, 2020.
DP Wolff, Inc. was issued a contract award under Resolution 17.3 at the October 21, 2020 BOE stated meeting.
The additional work is for District directed HVAC improvements to provide ventilation conditions that allowed the buildings to be opened for use under COVID19 restrictions.
DP Wolff worked on School: 5, 17, 22, 23, 24,Fermi, Palisade Prep, Boyce Thompson, ML King, Dodson and Roosevelt. The scope of work includes but is not limited to restoration and or replacement of motors, exhaust fans, unit ventilators, ductwork, controls, and air handling units.

Ladies and Gentlemen:
WHEREAS by Resolution Board Item No. 17.3 at the Board of Trustees stated meeting on October 21, 2020, Contract No. 2021-‘0269 in the amount of $140,423.80 was recommended for award D.P. Wolff, Inc., 143 Bedford Road, Katonah, NY 10536 and,
WHEREAS: in the course of executing the contracted work it was determined that additional work was required to be performed in the amount of $1,509,576.20.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Superintendent of Schools is hereby authorized to issue Change Order 1, 2 and 3 to contract No. 2021-0269 CIP10901 “COVID19 Related HVAC Improvements” Districtwide under Emergency Declaration to D.P. Wolff, Inc., 143 Bedford Road, Katonah, NY 10536 for $1,509,576.20 increasing the contract amount from $140,423.80 to $1,650,000.00 with no change in term.
