Rationale:
|
This it to award a Capital fund PO to Naber Electric Corp. for the Electrical Contract done under the Emergency Declaration for “Storm Damage Window Stabilization and Repair” at the PEARLS Hawthorne School for $10,000.00 for term of 180 calendar days under a time and materials basis On or about August 7, 2021 in recent inspection of cleaned and closed classrooms it was discovered that the windows in Rooms 206, 208, 211 and 212 had been pushed out of alignment by one of the recent storms. Electrical scope of work includes removing and reinstalling receptacles and light fixtures from interior and exterior walls to facilitate the emergency window repairs. This resolution is to grant the administration the authority to enter into the subject contract as per the attached emergency declaration issued by the Superintendent on August 8, 2021. It is estimated that the overall cost of this project to be in the range of $200,000 to $250,000

Ladies and Gentlemen: WHEREAS: on or about August 7, 2021 windows in classrooms 206, 208, 211 & 212 were found to be push out of alignment by recent storms and required immediate repairs to re-secure the windows to the structure, and WHEREAS: an emergency declaration was issued by the Superintendent of Schools on August 8, 2021 to have this work completed in the most timely manner, and WHEREAS: Naber Electric Corp. has been solicited to provide such services under negotiated unit prices and have an established and acceptable history with the District, demonstrated that they were capable and ready to make such improvements on a “Time and Material” basis at an estimated not to exceed amount of $10,000 and for term of 180 calendar days, and NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: that a purchase order be issued to Naber Electric, Corp., 1025 Saw Mill River Road Yonkers, New York 10710for the Electrical Contract for “Storm Damage Window Stabilization and Repair” at the PEARLS Hawthorne School, for $10,000.00 for term of 180 calendar days.
