Rationale:
|
This is to approve the subject change order for CIP10816 “Building Renovations & Site Work” at School 9 to Naber Electric Inc., for $19,565.21, increasing the contract from $345,678 to $365,243.21 and extending term for 365 calendar days.
By Resolution No. 16.2 dated February 24, 2021, Contract 2021-0574 was awarded to Naber Electric Inc, in the amount of $345,678.00 and for a term of 365 calendar days.
Additional electrical work was required:
COP-5-A, B, C, J, & L
Additional work due to unforeseen conditions include new lighting for the attic, protecting electrical wiring in the Auditorium, and additional power lighting work in the Auditorium, Computer Lab, Classroom 22 and Principal’s Office at a cost of $11,278.95.

Additional work included additional power and lighting work in the Principals Office at a cost of $10,053.13.

Additional owner directed work for new electrical power and lighting for Principal’s Office, Library and new Custodial Closet at a cost of $13,233.13.

Ladies and Gentlemen:
WHEREAS by Resolution No. 16.2 dated February 24, 2021, Contract 2021-0574 was awarded to Naber Electric Inc., in the amount of $345,678.00 and for a term of 365 calendar days, and
WHEREAS: in the course of executing the contracted work it was determined that additional work was required to be performed, and
WHEREAS: the fee for this added work is for the negotiated lumps sum price to complete the project in the amount of $19,565.21.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Superintendent of Schools is hereby authorized to issue Change Order 1 to contract No. 2021-0574 ELECTRCIAL, Contract 5, CIP10816 “Building Renovations & Site Work” at School 9 to Naber Electric Inc., 1025 Saw Mill River Road, Yonkers, NY 10710, for the amount of $19,565.21; increasing the contract amount from $345,678 to $365,243.21 and extending the contract term for 365 calendar days.
