Rationale:
|
This is to extend the current contract with Stanley Convergent (Sonitrol) for another calendar year under the same prices, terms and conditions as last year.
Scope of work also includes the troubleshooting and repair/replacement of system components. The Sonitrol System is unique and already installed throughout the District.
This work is being done by Stanley Convergent at the direction of the District to furnish and install non-proprietary equipment on the Stanley–owned system which is accessible solely by Stanley. Therefore, this is technically a sole source purchase. NYS OGS Award 23150 Contract No. PT68863 Group 77201

Ladies and Gentlemen:
WHEREAS; Board stated meeting on July 17, 2019 Item 21.8 authorizing the Yonkers Public Schools to extend for one year contract 2017-00000335 with Stanley Convergent Systems (a.k.a. Sonitrol) Corporation for Security and Fire Alarm Monitoring of Yonkers Public Schools and facilities which is terminating on June 30, 2020, and
WHEREAS: this contract is renewable under the same terms and conditions, and
WHEREAS; Stanley Convergent Security Solutions, Inc., is the sole provider for these services for the installed system, and
WHEREAS; it is the desire of the Yonkers Public Schools to continue said monitoring contract and repair services as needed for a period of one year and ending June 30, 2021, and
WHEREAS it is the desire of the Yonkers Public Schools to continue said monitoring contract and repair services from July 1, 2020 to June 30, 2021
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the contract between the Yonkers Public Schools and Stanley Convergent Security Solutions, Inc. for Security and Fire Alarm Monitoring and Repair services be extended for one year at a total cost of $139,736.00 to Stanley Convergent Security Solutions, Inc. 10-09 49th Ave, Long Island City, NY 1101
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the Board of Education authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to extend the above contract.
