Rationale:
|
Award CIP 10895, Bid 6793, ELECTRICAL WORK, “High Tech Security Upgrades at Yonkers Middle High School,” to Fran Corp (d/b/a All Bright Electric) for the amount of $1,086,000.000 for a term of 365 calendar days.
In compliance with General Municipal Law 103, this contract was let for public and bids were opened in public and read aloud on June 3rd, 2022. Bids were examined and all due diligence observed in determining the lowest responsive and responsible bidder.
A total of 2 bids were received with the highest bid at $1,567,890.00 and average bid at $1,326,945. The work was designed by Fuller & D’Angelo, P.C. who estimated the contract to be at $1,010,000.00
After interviewing the apparent low bidder and confirming that they understood the scope of work, bids were found to be correct, and references checked. The architect, construction manager and Schools Facilities Management are recommending award of the subject contract.
All Bright has an established and acceptable history with the District.
The work is to be done in conformance with the City of Yonkers security system requirements which will include but not be limited to : complete interior and exterior surveillance camera coverage, electronic perimeter door controls and monitoring, cards readers at select operating doors, two way video/audio intercom with remote lock operations at visitor access doors and secure & climate controlled server rooms.

Ladies and Gentlemen:
WHEREAS: bids were issued for public advertisement and opened on June 3, 2022 in compliance with General Municipal Law for Bid 6793, ELECTRICAL WORK, “ High Tech Security Upgrades at Yonkers Middle High School,” and
WHEREAS: such bids were duly examined and as a result of this examination of the bids submitted, the administration has determined that Fran Corp (d/b/a All Bright Electric), is the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Superintendent of Schools is hereby authorized to award “ High Tech Security Upgrades at Yonkers Middle High School” , to Fran Corp (d/b/a All Bright Electric), 100 Snake Hill Road, West Nyack, NY 10994, for the amount of $1,086,000.00 and for a term of 365 calendar days.
