Scope: This amendment aims to increase the number of service days with Mr. Gregory Joyner. These additional days will be to coordinate the “MY BROTHER’S KEEPER” Community Initiative. Whom of which oversees MBK mentoring program – Each One Reach One, participate on the District Barack Obama Alliance team. Mr. Joyner facilitates parent, student, community and staff meetings. He oversees Milestone 6 with the District Executive Director of Safety. He will work closely with 914United to support students at the Barack Obama School.

Resolution:

WHEREAS the Board of Education wishes to amend an existing contract with Gregory Joyner to purchase additional consulting services to support coordination efforts for the My Brothers Keeper community initiative for the 2023 -2024 school year,
WHEREAS the district administration has designed in conjunction with Gregory Joyner a program which meets the objectives set forth by the Board and the New York State Education Department, and,
WHEREAS the Board of Education authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to amend an existing agreement with Gregory Joyner to provide these services, and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Board of Education hereby authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to amend an existing agreement with Gregory Joyner at an additional of $39,600.00, increasing the total amount not to exceed $79,560.00.
