Scope: Groundwork Hudson Valley will support Barack Obama School for Social Justice in providing experiential learning opportunities for the students in the Pathways in Technology Program (P-Tech). Groundwork Hudson Valley will provide a curriculum and facilitate 16 lessons to students in Cohort 1 that will eventually lead to the creation of a proposed greenhouse on school grounds.

Resolution:

WHEREAS the Board of Education wishes to enter into a contract with Groundwork Hudson Valley, Inc. to purchase consulting services to support Barack Obama School for Social Justice in providing experiential learning opportunities for the students in the Pathways in Technology Program (P-Tech). We provide a curriculum and facilitated 16 lessons to students in Cohort 1 that will eventually lead to the creation of a Greenhouse on school grounds for the 2024 – 2025 school year,
WHEREAS the district administration has designed in conjunction with Groundwork Hudson Valley, Inc. a program which meets the objectives set forth by the Board and the New York State Education Department, and,
WHEREAS the Board of Education authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to enter into an agreement with Groundwork Hudson Valley, Inc. to provide these services, and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Board of Education hereby authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to enter into an agreement with Groundwork Hudson Valley, Inc. at a cost not to exceed $15,000.00.
