Master Contract 2021-00000575 and BOCS approval date 11/18/2020. Resolution 20.1 Westchester Medical Coder, Inc. and Yonkers Pathways to Success for the amount of $55,000.00. This Amendment is to increase the dollar amount by $12,000 and to increase the amount of students to be served by 6. The new total amount is $67,000.00 and the new total number of students to be served is 32. Balance of funds available in Adult Perkins grant.

The Yonkers Public Schools Pathways to Success (PTS) Adult Education Program is requisitioning the execution of a contract to provide training for the Adult Education Students to receive Certifications in either the Medical Billing and Coding or Electronic Medical Records after passing the National Heath career Association (NHA) exam.

Resolution: WHEREAS the Board of Education wishes to enter into a contract with Westchester Medical Coder, Inc. to purchase services to support the Adult Education Program for the 2020-2021 school year,

WHEREAS the district administration has designed in conjunction with Westchester Medical Coder, Inc. a program which meets the objectives set forth by the Board and the New York State Education Department, and,

WHEREAS the Board of Education authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to enter into an agreement with Westchester Medical Coder, Inc. to provide the services, and,

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED; That the Board of Education hereby authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to enter into an agreement with Westchester Medical Coder, Inc. at a cost not to exceed $67,000.00

It is acknowledged and agreed that pursuant to the terms of that certain intermunicipal agreement by and between the City of Yonkers Board of Education (“BOE”) and the City of Yonkers (the “City”) as filed in the Office of the City Clerk on June 16, 2014, the terms of this agreement are subject to review and revision by the Corporation Counsel, as well as approval by the City’s Board of Contract and Supply. Furthermore, this Agreement shall not be enforceable until signed by both parties and approved by the Corporation Counsel’s Office.
