Resolution:
WHEREAS, a disciplinary proceeding commenced against employee ID No. 41947, tenured teacher based upon a Notice of Charges dated February 26, 2020, preferred by Dr. Edwin M. Quezada, Superintendent of Schools, pursuant to Education Law Section 3020a; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Education, at its meeting on February 26, 2020, found probable cause for the Notice of Charges preferred against employee ID No. 41947; and
WHEREAS, employee ID No. 41947 was represented by counsel who submitted a response denying the specifications in the Notice of Charges; and
WHEREAS, a Stipulation of Settlement has been negotiated between the Superintendent of Schools and employee ID No. 41947, subject to approval by the Board of Education, which Stipulation of Settlement sets forth the terms of settlement of the Notice of Charges; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Education has had an opportunity to review the terms of the Stipulation of Settlement, and finds that the terms are fair, reasonable and appropriate under the circumstances;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Education hereby approves the Stipulation of Settlement, as negotiated and made between the Superintendent of Schools and employee ID No. 41947; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Superintendent of Schools and those under his direction take all steps necessary to effectuate and implement the Stipulation of Settlement, made between the Superintendent of Schools and employee ID No. 41947.
