Create Capacity, LLC
Term: October 2024-August 2025
Amount: $62,000
Scope: Create Capacity will establish key focal points to implement a strength based approach aimed at ensuring the success fit multilingual learners while targeting specified areas for growth by using a data driven approach to guide instruction and implement monitoring protocols and working with multilingual learners and their ability to engage with poetry and metaphoric language. Create Capacity will provide these services to Yonkers Public Schools staff at Enrico Fermi and Districtwide.

Resolution:
|
WHEREAS the Board of Education wishes to enter into a contract with Create Capacity, LLC to purchase consulting services to support Yonkers Public Schools establish key focal points to implement a strength based approach aimed at ensuring the success fit multilingual learners while targeting specified areas for growth by using a data driven approach to guide instruction and implement monitoring protocols and working with multilingual learners and their ability to engage with poetry and metaphoric language for the 2024-2025 school year,
WHEREAS the district administration has designed in conjunction with Create Capacity, LLC a program which meets the objectives set forth by the Board and the New York State Education Department, and,
WHEREAS the Board of Education authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to enter into an agreement with Create Capacity to provide these services, and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Board of Education hereby authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to enter into an agreement with Create Capacity, LLC at a cost not to exceed $62,000.
It is acknowledged and agreed that pursuant to the terms of that certain intermunicipal agreement by and between the City of Yonkers Board of Education (“BOE”) and the City of Yonkers (the “City”) as filed in the Office of the City Clerk on June 16, 2014, the terms of this agreement are subject to review and revision by the Corporation Counsel, as well as approval by the City’s Board of Contract and Supply. Furthermore, this Agreement shall not be enforceable until signed by both parties and approved by the Corporation Counsel’s Office.
