Rationale:
|
This is to authorize the award of a purchase order for RFQ 2022-0901 “Asbestos Abatement at Scholastic Academy of Academic Excellence School 18” to NSC Abatement Services. for $34,000.00 with a term of 180 calendar days.
This request for quotes was issued to four abatement contractors on June 13, 2022 with last date of submission as June 22, 2022. Three proposals were received. The highest base bid being at $54,900.00 and the average at $44,866.67 The estimated project cost is $33,000.00
The project includes but is not limited to removal of damaged 12x12 top layer and asbestos containing floor tiles in the auditorium and lobby associated with auditorium.

Ladies and Gentlemen:
WHEREAS: in compliance with NYS General Municipal Law 104b request for quotes were let out and received on June 22, 2022 “Asbestos Abatement at Scholastic Academy of Academic Excellence School 18”, and
WHEREAS: three quotes were received with NSC Abatement Services having the lowest responsive and responsible bid in the amount of $34,000.00 and a term of 180 calendar days, and
WHEREAS: the District has a substantial successful history with NSC Abatement Services Inc.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Superintendent of Schools is hereby authorized to award RFQ 2022-0901 “Asbestos Abatement at Scholastic Academy of Academic Excellence School 18” to NSC Abatement Services, 122 E. Third St, Mount Vernon, NY 10550 for a term of 180 calendar days.
