Rationale:
|
This resolution is to grant the administration the authority to enter into the subject contract. In compliance with General Municipal Law 103, this contract was let for public and bids were opened in public and read aloud on July 10, 2020. Bids were examined and all due diligence observed in determining the lowest responsive and responsible bidder.
CIP10812 includes the renovation of 8 former shop rooms into 10 SED standard classrooms, refurbished lighting in 6 stairwells, welding & painting the chimneys, sidewalk replacement outside the Arena and new roofing over the Music Room. The work was designed by Sammel Architects (CPL Architecture).
Bertussi was the sole bidder for Contract 3 of 4 HVAC. After interviewing the apparent low bidder and confirming that they understood the scope of work, bids were found to be correct. Schools Facilities Management are recommending the award of the subject contract to Bertussi Contracting, Inc. The work was designed by Sammel Architects (CPL Architecture) and the HVAC work was estimated to be approximately $44,708. |

Ladies and Gentlemen:
WHEREAS: bids were issued for public advertisement and opened on July 10, 2020 in compliance with General Municipal Law 103 for Bid No. IFB-6368-B HVAC Work for the “Reconstruction of Portions of the Building”, and
WHEREAS: such bids were duly examined and the sole bidder interviewed and it has been determined that Bertussi Contracting, Inc., is the lowest responsive and responsible bidder with a bid of $ 112,400.00.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: that Bid No. IFB-6368-B HVAC work, Contract for the “Reconstruction of Portions of the Building” to Bertussi Contracting, Inc. 60-70 Dexter Plaza Pearl River, New York 10965 in an amount not to exceed $112,400.00 for a term of 365 calendar days. |
