Amount: $190,250.00
Scope: This amendment is to cover the cost for work deliberately not included in the original assignment for architectural/engineering design services for the SED and Construction Documents Phase and requisite reimbursables.
Overview:
RFP 420-23-02 is for the “Classroom Additions” at School 30. KG+D Architects, P.C. (KG&D) was initially assigned the architectural/engineering design services for the Design Development Phase and requisite reimbursable. Amendment 1 was issued for a funding source change for identifying the fees associated with the Classroom Addition and Demolition of the Modular Building, which are recognized by SED as two separate buildings. KG&D has completed the design development phase and this amendment is to assign KG&D the SED Submission and Construction Documents Phase and requisite reimbursable fees.
KG&D’s Amendment 2 fee for CIP 10826 for the main school building classroom addition is in the amount of $182,640.
KG&D’s Amendment 2 fee for CIP 10968 for the demolition of the modular building is in the amount of $7,610.00. |

Resolution
|
WHEREAS via Resolution 15.6 dated February 28, 2024, the Board of Education authorized the assignment to KG+D Architects, P.C. for Architectural/ Engineering services on CIP 10826, “Classroom Additions” at School 30 under Contract No. 2020-0630 with an expiration date of June 15, 2024, and
WHEREAS via Resolution 17.5 dated May 15, 2024, the Board of Education authorized the first amendment to cover a capital funding source change for CIP 10826 and CIP 10968, and
WHEREAS Architectural/Engineering design services for SED and Construction Documents and requisite reimbursable phase work was not included in the original assignment, and
WHEREAS such services are now required, and
WHEREAS KG+D Architects, P.C. has presented an acceptable proposal to complete these added tasks for SED and Construction Documents phase for the School 30 “Classroom Additions” in the amount of $190,250.00, and
WHEREAS under Resolution 18.17 dated April 17, 2024, KG+D was awarded a new contract (2024-0873) for On-Call Architectural and Engineering Services.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Board of Education hereby authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to issue a purchase order for $190,250.00 under the new contract and increase the not-to-exceed amount for this project from $258,000.00 to $448,250.00. |
