Zurich American Insurance Company
Amount: $165,840.00
Scope: Amendment 1 of a general fund contract for adding two (2) additional locations:
• Justice Sonia Sotomayor Community School - 121 McLean Avenue
• Robert Halmi Sr. Academy of Film and Television – 463 Hawthorne Avenue
To amend Property, Boiler & Machinery Insurance for 2024-2025 to the Zurich American Insurance Company for an annual premium of $165,840.00 (this increase shall be prorated at the time each is placed into service). This will bring our total property insurance coverage cost to $1,699,040.00 annually.
Term is from (Start date TBD) to June 30, 2025.
This is to authorize the administration to amend the contract for Property Insurance, including Boiler, Machinery and Terrorism coverage for the 2024-2025 fiscal year.
Zurich American Insurance Company has increased coverage limits in several areas of the policy while maintaining our current $100,000.00 deductible. |

Resolution
|
WHEREAS the Administration wishes to procure Property Insurance, including Boiler, Machinery and Terrorism coverage for two (2) additional locations listed above for the fiscal year 2024-2025, and
WHEREAS proposals were obtained and analyzed by the District’s insurance broker, Nausch, Hogan and Murray, and
WHEREAS Zurich American Insurance Company has submitted a proposal which meets the Yonkers Public Schools specifications and requirements.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Property Insurance, including Boiler, Machinery and Terrorism coverage for two (2) additional locations as listed above for the fiscal year 2024-2025 be awarded as follows:

Total: $165,840.00 (Prorated on the date placed into service)
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the Board of Education hereby authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to amend Property Insurance, including Boiler, Machinery and Terrorism coverage with the above mentioned firm through our insurance broker, Nausch, Hogan and Murray, Inc. |
