Term: July 1,2023 through June 30, 2024 Amount: $5,331,707.00 Account #'s: 450-5271-100000-2250-B2300 490-5271-24H114-2250-B2300 (Pending NYSED approval) Scope- St. Joseph’s Hospital will provide physical therapy and occupational therapy services, evaluations, and screenings to approximately 900 elementary and secondary District students, in order to maintain compliance with the students’ IEP. (This resolution is a renewal of the District’s contract for Occupational and Physical Therapy services for the 2023-2024 school year, as mandated by students’ IEP. It is funded through Special Education’s Placement/Services Account. It is responsive to State and Federal Mandates for the provision of services to students with disabilities.) |
Ladies and Gentlemen: WHEREAS the Board of Education is required to provide related services for disabled students as set forth in I.D.E.A., the Laws of the State of New York, and the Regulations of the Commission of Education, and WHEREAS the Committee on Special Education has reviewed the needs of disabled children in the school district and has recommended occupational and physical therapy, evaluations and services where appropriate, and WHEREAS the Board has determined that these services can best be provided by St. Joseph's Hospital, in the amount of $5,331,707.00. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Board of Education hereby authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to enter into contract with the above-named provider for the said amount. |
