Rationale:
|
This is to assign Architectural/Engineering Services per RFP 420-22-15 "New Playgrounds & Select Building Upgrades" at Montessori School 27, Kahlil Gibran School, Westchester Hills School 29 and Paideia School 15 to Fuller & D’Angelo P.C., (F&D) in the amount of $215,560.00 for a term of 365 days. This RFP was issued only to F&D due to its limited scope. The firm has worked on numerous similar projects and is well qualified to undertake this project.
Via Resolution 15.15 dated February 26, 2020, the Board of Education awarded 3-year requirements contract to F&D for an amount not to exceed $1.0 million. The subject task is being assigned to F&D under this contract.
In addition to the new playgrounds, the work at each school will include the following:
-Montessori School 27 CIP 10953: new fire alarm, PA system, ceilings & lights at the main entrance.
-Kahlil Gibran School CIP 10954: new fire alarm system.
-Westchester Hills School 29 CIP 10955: new fire alarm system.
-Paideia School 15 CIP 10596: new gym floor, lighting, doors and finishes.
The total project costs are estimated to be $5.0 million. Construction is slated for 2023-2024 pending funding. |

Ladies and Gentlemen:
WHEREAS: Via Resolution 15.15 dated February 26, 2020, the Board of Education authorized the award of a requirements based, professional Architectural/Engineering services contract to Fuller and D’Angelo P.C. Architects and Planners in response to District RFP404 “Architectural & Engineering Services for the School Facilities Management Department” for an amount not to exceed $1 million, and
WHEREAS: work as defined under that contract is required for capital projects 10953, 10954, 10955 & 10956 “Playground and Building Upgrades” at Montessori School 27, Kahlil Gibran School, Westchester Hills School 29 and Paideia School 15”, and
WHEREAS: the response to RFP 420-22-15 "New Playgrounds & Select Building Upgrades" by Fuller and D’Angelo P.C. Architects and Planners was deemed most advantageous to the District at a cost not to exceed $215,560.00 and a term of 365 calendar days.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Superintendent of Schools is hereby authorized to appoint Fuller and D’Angelo P.C. Architects and Planners, 45 Knollwood Road, Elmsford, New York 10523, to the task of providing professional Architectural/Engineering services for Capital Projects 10953, 10954, 10955 & 10956 “Playground and Building Upgrades” at Montessori School 27, Kahlil Gibran School, Westchester Hills School 29 and Paideia School 15” to Fuller & D’Angelo P.C., for $215,560.00 for a term of 365 calendar days. |
