Rationale:
|
School districts from time-to-time may dispose of obsolete equipment that has value. In accordance with General Municipal Law 695, Yonkers Public Schools wishes to engage an auction house in order to dispose of obsolete welding equipment from Saunders Trades and Technical High School. This evolution will free up much needed instructional space.
Yonkers Public Schools wishes to engage in a contract with Auctions International, Inc., 11167 Big Tree Road, East Aurora, NY 14052. The above-mentioned contract has been vetted by YPS in house counsel and signed by the Superintendent. The contract will commence upon passing of this resolution and expire on June 30, 2024. |

Resolution
|
Ladies and Gentlemen;
WHEREAS: The District wishes to engage in a contract with Auctions International in order to dispose of obsolete welding equipment, and
WHEREAS: in order to free up much needed instructional space at Saunders Trades and Technical High School the District will dispose of obsolete welding equipment, and
WHEREAS: in accordance with Municipal Law 695, the District will engage in a vetted contract with Auctions International, Inc, to publicly auction identified obsolete welding equipment with all proceeds being returned to a COY/YPS general fund account, and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Superintendent of Schools is hereby authorized to enter a contract with Auctions International, Inc., 11167 Big Tree Road, East Aurora, NY 14052, to publicly auction identified obsolete welding equipment from Saunders Trades and Technical High School, contract expiration June 30, 2024. |
