Amount: ($35,694.00) Credit
Scope: Rescission of award of Gas Line Installation for Project No. 10808 “Reconfiguration and/or Classroom Additions” at Kahlil Gibran School to Consolidated Edison (Con-Ed) for the amount of $35,694.00.
Construction of CIP 10808 is on hold pending future bond sale. The District’s contract term and Con-Ed’s case for the project has expired and it is recommended to unencumber the capital funds for immediate use elsewhere.
The District will be required to file a new case for a proposal for new gas service with Con-Ed when the project is fully funded and ready to bid. |

Resolution
|
WHEREAS by resolution 15.11 dated January 22, 2020, Contract No. 2020-0580 was awarded to Consolidated Edison in the amount of $35,694.00 for a term of 365 calendar days, and
WHEREAS construction of CIP 10808 “Reconfiguration and/or Classroom Additions” at Kahlil Gibran School is on hold pending future bond sale, and
WHEREAS the District’s contract term and Consolidated Edison’s case for the project has expired, and
WHEREAS it is desirable to rescind this award only to the effect of unencumbering the contact award amount of $35,694.00 for immediate use in other capital projects.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Board of Education hereby authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to rescind Board Resolution Agenda Item 15.11 dated January 22, 2020, awarding Gas Line Installation for Project No. 10808 “Reconfiguration and/or Classroom Additions” at Kahlil Gibran School to Consolidated Edison for the amount of $35,694.00. |
