Rationale:
|
Via Resolution 21.7 dated June 19, 2019, the Board assigned E&R Engineering the environmental monitoring services for CIP 10814 “Window Replacement & Security Upgrades Project” and CIP10815 “Boiler and Heating Upgrades Project” at Patricia DiChiaro School 8. This assignment was done under the requirements contract 619182 “Environmental Consulting Services”.
This amendment in the amount of $29,279.00 is to be added to PO 2020-1769 to cover additional consulting and project monitoring needed for additional abatement and demolition work at the school for CIP10814 Window Replacement and CIP10815 Boiler Replacement. This increases the PO from $60,000 to $89,279.
For CIP10814 Window Replacement an additional $10,000 to cover additional time due to window delivery COVID19 delays pushing install from 2020 to 2021. Additional project monitoring is also required to address added unforeseen window asbestos abatement.
For CIP10815 Boiler Replacement an additional $19,279 is required for added asbestos abatement for the ceilings in 2 boiler rooms, a storage room and vinyl asbestos floor tile in select classrooms.

Ladies and Gentlemen;
WHEREAS: Via Resolution 21.7 at their stated meeting on June 19, 2019, the Board of Trustees assigned Eisenbach & Ruhnke Engineering, P.C, the Environmental Project Monitoring Services for CIP 10814 & 10815 “Window Replacement & Security Upgrades Project” and “Boiler and Heating Upgrades Project” at Patricia DiChiaro School 8.
WHEREAS: an amendment is required to include additional Environmental Project Monitoring Services for CIP 10814 & 10815.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Superintendent of Schools is hereby authorized to amend the existing assignment to Eisenbach & Ruhnke Engineering, P.C., 291 Genessee Street, Utica, NY 13501, to provide added Environmental Project Monitoring Services for CIP10814 “Window Replacement & Security Upgrades” and CIP10815 “Boiler and Heating Upgrades” at DiChiaro School 8 under contract 619182 to Eisenbach & Ruhnke Engineering, P.C., for $29,279.00, increasing the cost of this task from $60,000 to $89,279.
