Scope: Plumbing construction contract at Martin Luther King Jr. Academy for performing alterations to select toilet rooms for CIP 10875. Work includes modifying existing domestic water piping and sanitary piping and furnishing and installing plumbing fixtures.
Overview:
In compliance with General Municipal Law 103, bids were let and opened in public on February 22, 2024. One bid was received, examined and all due diligence observed in determining that Joe Lombardo Plumbing & Heating of Rockland, Inc is the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. The work was designed by Eisenbach & Ruhnke Engineering, P.C. who estimated the value of the work at $100,000.00.

WHEREAS bids were issued for public advertisement and opened on February 22, 2024 in compliance with General Municipal Law 103 for Bid No. 7084 Plumbing Work, Contract 4 for the “Roof Replacement and Select Interior Upgrades - Part 3 of Roof, Heating Plant, Window Replacement and Interior Upgrades” at Martin Luther King, Jr. Academy, Project No. 10875, and
WHEREAS such bids were duly examined and as a result the administration has determined that Joe Lombardo Plumbing & Heating of Rockland, Inc is the lowest responsive and responsible bidder with a bid of $63,021.00
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Board of Education hereby authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to award Bid No. 7084 Plumbing Work, Contract 4, for Project No. 10875 “Roof Replacement and Select Interior Upgrades - Part 3 of Roof, Heating Plant, Window Replacement and Interior Upgrades” at Martin Luther King, Jr. Academy to Joe Lombardo Plumbing & Heating of Rockland, Inc in an amount not to exceed $63,021.00for a term of 548 calendar days.
